Students from the advanced English course explored the alternative side of Berlin together with Ms. Auerswald, joining an English-speaking tour alongside tourists from all over the world: from China, Colombia, Lithuania, Spain, Canada… Our guide —incidentally from Spain — led us from Alexanderplatz to the Hackesche Höfe, then on to Kreuzberg to the Kottbusser Tor, where we took a short break in a typical Kreuzberg corner shop, known as a „Späti“. Afterwards, we passed SO36 and visited the graffiti artworks of Paradox and Victor Ash. Our tour concluded with a visit to an alternative cultural center on Warschauer Straße.
It felt good to break out of our daily routines and experience Berlin from a different perspective.
